We love to support our local communities, and want to feature some of the best at OrcaCon! We’ll have a mix of game groups, other local conventions, and charity organizations. This is why we’ve decided to call it Community Row!
OrcaCon 2018 will have space next to our main convention hall to promote local community groups, conventions, and charities. The Community Row hours are as follows:
Friday – Noon to 8 PM
Saturday – 10 AM to 6 PM
Sunday – 10 AM to 4 PM

LANtasy Gaming Society
A Vancouver Island based nonprofit organization, LANtasy Gaming Society (previously BC Gamer) is a collection of groups that come together to throw gaming events. We have been active within the community running events for over a decade. It is our core mission to throw inclusive, all-ages gaming events.
From Keltie: “ZeroD20 originated when I started listening to D&D podcasts. I’m fairly new to tabletop gaming and gaming podcasts, but when a DM friend starting talking about podcasting his campaign, I started listening to what was out there already. And one of the things I noticed were how few female voices there were. Now all of the best have a token woman, some even have two. But I noticed that there weren’t any where women’s voices dominated. So I mentioned the idea at a D&D session and Jalyn said, ‘Awesome’ and then Jarrett said, ‘I have a campaign ready to go and some friends who would love to play.’ And here we are bringing you ZeroD20. Thanks for checking us out.”
Norwescon is the Pacific Northwest’s premier science fiction and fantasy convention and one of the largest regional science fiction and fantasy conventions in the United States. Lady Planeswalker Society
Founded in Seattle in 2011 by Tifa Robles, the Lady Planeswalkers Society aims to create welcoming, friendly environments for all genders to learn Magic: The Gathering. We host events for all skill levels to battle Magic in an alternative space!
Breaking down the barriers of entry into Magic is the number one goal of the group, but we also aim to provide a stepping-stone into tournament play.
With over 100 chapters in the world, this group has been very successful and continues to grow. Outside of running tournaments in stores every week, the group also teaches Magic at many conventions with a large, dedicated staff of experienced teachers.
Dragonflight is a non-profit volunteer-run organization that promotes the educational and social benefits of the tabletop gaming hobby in the Pacific Northwest.
Alpha Supported Living

Wizards of the Coast LGBTQ+Allies
Diversity and inclusion are two of the top priorities at Wizards of the Coast. Wizards LGBTQ+Allies was formed as an employee resource group to help further this mission, celebrate diversity, and help all to feel welcome both inside and outside of Wizards. Dragons and elves belong in our worlds, and so do you.
Anglicon is a Seattle-area 501(c)3 organization dedicated to organizing British media conventions to raise funds for the Tacoma PBS affiliate station KBTC. We are an all-volunteer organization. There are no paid staff positions and all volunteers and officers will buy convention memberships and pay for their hotel rooms just like everyone else. We are fans of Doctor Who and other British media, and want to share our passion with other like-minded fans.
