During these trying times, we at OrcaCon have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and have been assessing our safety measures. Your safety and health is our top priority and so keeping you informed as we get closer to January 9th are part of our efforts of keeping you safe.
We will continue to closely monitor state and federal guidelines regarding large social events such as our convention. We have not made any major decisions on cancellations, attendance caps, or date changes as of yet as the situation changes almost daily and OrcaCon is still over six months away.
If we are unable to safely hold OrcaCon 2021, we will reach out to everyone who has registered to apply their convention membership to OrcaCon 2022 or to claim a refund.
OrcaCon has always been a welcoming and safe place for everyone to play games. That safety also includes your health, that is why you will see several hand sanitizers stations when you come to OrcaCon. Additionally, if Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required we are in the process of trying to provide access to masks and gloves.
Don’t be surprised if you see a cute little Orca Whale on the mask.
Stay tuned to our social media and website for the latest updates. Also don’t forget to pre-register early in case we are forced to cap our convention membership due to state and federal guidelines as it will be a first come first serve basis.
Please stay safe, we hope to see all of you at OrcaCon playing Pandemic and not dealing with a Pandemic.
