Top 10 Play and Win games at OrcaCon 2020

At OrcaCon 2020, anyone at OrcaCon could peruse our Play and Win library in the Skyview ballroom, choose a game and play it. Then, when they returned the game, each person who played it received a ticket to enter for a chance of winning that game at the end of the show. Congratulations to everyone who got to take home a game this year!

This year we had 83 total games you had a chance of winning in our Play and Win. Here’s our list of our top 10 games – as counted by the amount of tickets we received for each of them!

10. Roll for Adventure

The old kingdom is in danger. Enemy armies are attacking from every direction, sent by the Master of Shadows, who seeks to cast eternal darkness across the land. You must band together to collect the fabled power stones needed to save the kingdom.  If you succeed, you’ll save the kingdom and win the game. However, should even one territory fall under the control of the Master of Shadows, you will lose the game immediately. With many heroes, a variable game board, and increasing difficulty, this cooperative dice-rolling fantasy game offers you exciting challenges again and again.


9. Kuckle Sammich

YOU ARE LATE FOR LUNCH! By the time that you get to the Kitchens, lunch is nearly over! You and the other slowpokers and lateniks are going to have to make your own, with some KNUCKLE SAMMICHES!

YOU ARE A KOBOLD trying to tooth and claw your way to a full belly by grabbing the last few sandwiches. Along they way, you may just give up the pretense of making sandwiches and eat your friends instead. Watch out for King Torg (ALL HAIL KING TORG!) and maybe you will survive lunch and wind up with a fresh, tasty baby to eat.


8. Paranormal Detectives

Paranormal Detectives is a deduction party game. One player takes the role of a Ghost. All other players work as Paranormal Detectives and need to discover how the victim died. Using paranormal abilities they will communicate with the Ghost, asking open questions about the details of the crime. The Ghost answers in a variety of ghostly ways – by arranging a hangman’s knot, playing chosen tarot cards, creating a word puzzle on a talking board, drawing by holding the hand of a detective and many more!


7. My Little Scythe

My Little Scythe is a competitive, family-friendly game in which each player controls 2 animal miniatures embarking upon an adventure in the Kingdom of Pomme.

In an effort to be the first to earn 4 trophies from 8 possible categories, players take turns choosing to Move, Seek, or Make. These actions will allow players to increase their friendship and pies, power up their actions, complete quests, learn magic spells, deliver gems and apples to Castle Everfree, and perhaps even engage in a pie fight.


6. The Grimm Masquerade

The Beast has invited you to his castle for a Masquerade. When you enter, you are magically transformed into the identity of another character from The Grimm Forest! The Beast enjoys his antics!

Players will be outed if they are given 2 artifacts of their bane, but can win the magical masquerade if they are able to collect 3 artifacts of their favor.


5. Paper Tales

4. Tiny Towns

1. Echidna Shuffle

Echidnas pick up bugs and deliver them to their home stumps in the family-friendly game Echidna Shuffle.

In more detail, players move the twelve echidnas from leaf to leaf, picking up bugs in their color from their pick-up leaf, and moving them to the three matching-colored stumps. But the forest floor is a traffic jam of echidnas that have to be moved out of the way before you can get there. The first player to deliver all three bugs wins.
