Welcome to OrcaCon 2024!

Howdy OrcaCon Family! We are so excited to jump back into planning for the next OrcaCon. It’s hard to believe that we came up with the idea 10 years ago, and hosted the first OrcaCon in 2016. How time flies!

We have some new updates for you, and if you are reading this, you’ll see a very big one! Yep, we are now free of our contract with Sched and had been looking for a better solution to manage convention registration and event scheduling. You’ll see more of that as we get closer to OrcaCon.

Some other big news for you! I am happy to say that we have a new Convention Director! First, I’m not going anywhere. I will still be running the OrcaCon board, and helping them get up to speed.

Maria will be taking over project management of the convention and making sure things go smoothly. I have absolute confidence they will be able to lead the planning team and make us a might tighter ship.

I’ll be delegating more things such as Community Row, Marketing, Social Media, and all the other things I do. It’s going to be great to bring on some more excellent folks who can help lead different departments and projects.
